Cheap Skateboards

Cheap skateboards can be found at a variety of places. Skate shops often have them, but they will also try to sell the more expensive models which are great for experienced skaters, but a beginner needs something that is cheaper just in case they decide it is not for them. They can be found at big box retailers such as K-Mart and also at many websites online.

One of the best ways to get cheap skateboards is from friends. A deck is cheap. A un-painted wooden deck can be found for less than $10 sometimes. Skaters are always replacing their wheels and bearings as well, often only one bearing is bad and the wheels can eek out a little more life. Collecting bearings and wheels from friends when they replace theirs can save a skater a lot of money if they don’t mind the less consistent ride.

Look out for cheap skateboards at garage sales too. Many people have skated, or had kids who have skated at some point in their life but for some reason no longer choose to ride. Often these decks are lightly used in the first place, and it is not uncommon to find brand new vintage skateboards compete with plastic bumpers and space shuttle styling.
